Themes: Disabilities, policies and guidelines

This article reviews the Return-to-work and Disability Management in the developing world. Suggestions are made on how to factor in the particular contexts of developing world realities and socio-economic contexts, to ensure appropriate and country-sensitive roll-out of RTW and DM.

This is a systematic review on the effectiveness of workplace disability management programs (WPDM programs) promoting return to work (RTW), as implemented and practised by employers in order to assess the effects of programs, to examine components which appear more highly related to positive RTW outcomes.

This paper aims to discuss the employment discrimination experienced by persons with disabilities in South African workplaces.
